The human body is actually really interesting when you really look at someone in their natural state (naked of course). the markings and how the body is built and seen, everything about it.
I know this sounds kind of weird or awkward but, its sort of weird that each sex is attracted to…well…spots that are generally for getting rid of useless liquids in the body and feeding new born babies…
The mind is probably the biggest mystery to me. I constantly wonder what the life of another person is like, how so many can be so heartless if you really consider how much information each person holds. Think, its just you in a different body with different features right? Its been going through my mind lately actually, wonder everything that is going on in that persons mind? wonder what they are thinking RIGHT NOW. We all just ramble to our selfs in our head even if we are focusing on a main objective like school work. For christ sake, im pretty sure we only use (correct me if im wrong) 13% of our brain? And the rest we dont even completely know what it does. For all we know we do have the ability to lift things without our hands.
yea thats all really….thought it was kinda cool so i just put it out there.
For all those people out there who own Battlefield 2 this is a MUST download, It practically creates and entire new game to play. I would have to say this is most addicting game play that i have ever experienced in a FPS. Hours go by like minutes and rounds are just long enough to make you feel accomplished . There is a ton of teamwork and you cant just run into a battle firing your rifle like an asshat unless you are prepared to wait 50 seconds to spawn again away from your squad. Vehicles take time to start up and you cant take more then probably 5 shots long range. The point of the mod as it names states is to make a somewhat realistic battle game and oh man did they achieve it. I have some of the coolest stories I could tell you about matches I’ve played but i wont waist your time right now, go download it. Oh, and its 100% free.
So for a while now I’ve been doing a little something called papercraft. Instead of starting with a piece of paper and folding it to create an almost abstract animal or shape like in origami you use a template of different 2D pieces that you cut out and fold. You glue those pieces together and end up creating a very detailed and rewarding paper statue or figurine. There is papercraft that is as simple as making a box and others that have so much detail it could take as long as a week or month to finish it.
You don’t need much in order to take up making papercraft. I just use scissors, a few toothpicks, an exacto knife to score the areas that need folding, glue, stock card, and my patience. The most useful tool I would say would have to be patience because remember you are working with paper (cuts easily and folds up) and glue (sticky and annoying as hell). My biggest tip would have to be hardly use any glue at all to keep the pieces stuck together, just a little bit on the end of a pin or toothpick to put on the areas that need it. If you put to much on it warps the paper and discolors the ink.
Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, By Templesmith, writer/artist/creator of 30 days of Night and Fell . Probably one of the best graphic novels i have ever read. The story is about a corpse possessing worm from another dimension who goes by the name of Wormwood and his two trusty companions Mr. Pendulum and Phoebe . If you can’t tell Wormwood is the one on the left in the picture above.
I think what first caught my attention to this comic was the art. It is so original and well done that i really don’t think any other graphic novel could compare to it. Other than the art, what makes this book so great would have to be the humor. There is not one boring part in this entire novel, even the most simple conversations make you smile at least a little bit. I really cannot say enough.
Then there is the story line. In the first collection of this series the witty little worm ends up having to solve a mystery for his ghost cop friend Trotsky as an owed favor. It all starts out with some very bizarre murders but as the story progresses Wormwood and his friends run into a big amount of “large man-eating, tentacled things” which leads them to a creepy villain. He has somehow planted creatures into the wombs of women and stomachs of others so when the monsters are big enough they burst out and cause even more chaos. I wont say anything else about the story so its up to you to go pick it up and read it yourself which i HIGHLY recommend you do so. You really are missing out if you don’t pick up this series.
I happened to stumble upon a link to this incredibly fun website called Neave while I was looking around one of my favorite websites a while back so i thought i would share it with you. For the most part it is just a really interesting time waister for someone who is bored and has nothing to do. In order to use some of the flash games you are required to have a microphone, headset, webcam, or 3D glasses. I was able to hook up my Rock Band microphone to my computer and it worked just fine.
The site and all the flash games where made by a guy who goes by the name of Paul Neave. He’s some 28 year old interactive designer from Britain who has “lots of flappy bits” but if you really want to know more about him just click the ‘About Neave’ button on the bottom of his website.
Neave includes everything from a game where you do a very entertaining quiz, use your mic while listening to music to make the screen strobe, to a game where you can use your mouse or mic to blow the seeds off of a virtual dandelion. There is a total of 13 games in all but now i will just cut to the chase and post the link for you…
Today I was laying around thinking about how difficult I find it to come across new bands to listen to that I know the genre of without having to go and buy a completely random album in that genres section at a music store. Well I considered it and I thought “hey, perhaps I could just make a list of some musicians I like and the genre of the music.” So here I am now prepared to type down as much music as I can think of that I enjoy for you fellow interweb viewers interested in feeding your brain, the Temporal Lobe to be exact, with a treat or two. . . or no treats, depends on your taste. I’ll try to include the band name, my favorite album, and the genre of that band in that order. I may update it now and then if i happen to come across another good artist.
If there are any spelling errors or mistakes I would love if you would let me know and ill be sure to fix them! Thanks
